My wife and I run a nurse consulting business and I needed a website that would help me take our business to the next level. We offer resources and state-approved inservices for long-term care facilities, and we build websites (using CityMax, of course!) for those homes as well.
My first foray into building a website was difficult and complicated. I designed a basic site using FrontPage, but then I had to find a host, set up a shopping cart, and all the other "bells and whistles" I needed to make my site do everything I needed. I made my site and then spent months trying to put everything together. I ran across CityMax, but was already committed, so I plodded along. I ended up with little traffic, people did not like the site, the console was difficult to work with, and I had NO sales. In the end, I was not satisfied with my results or in the merchant interface of my hosting provider.
I went back to the drawing board. I spent many days reviewing different website builders, hosts, and e-commerce packages. Please understand that the search was difficult because of all the features I needed. I went through a very deliberate process, because I needed a "one-stop-one-shop" e-commerce website builder that would not cost me a fortune, yet have all the features I needed. Tall order. After all, there are lots of builders on the market, but none with the variety AND ease of use that CityMax offers. I also needed an online catalog, but still fewer offered that. My main products are downloadable inservices and resources, and fewer still offer the ability for the customer to download a product. As you can see, the list got shorter and the competition dropped off like flies!
When the dust settled, CityMax was the ONLY "builder" left standing. I use the word "builder" reluctantly, because the "building" part is just the beginning of what CityMax does. With CityMax my customers can download products they purchase. They can sign my Guest Book (read my customer comments!). They have access to my Message Board. I can upload any clipart or photograph I want. The shopping cart is so easy to manage and my past transactions are always available for review. All this on a professionally done site with a very nicely laid out catalog (more than one!)
I love the layout of the website builder and all the tools are easy to use. It's a snap to manage and design your pages. I really appreciate how the e-commerce flows seamlessly between my catalogs and shopping cart. But this is just part of the reason I love CityMax. Customer service is ALWAYS friendly and has quickly answered any question I've ever had. With the extensive CityMax site online support, most of my questions are already covered, but the few issues I've had (including some questions I should have known better) were quickly, professionally, and courteously resolved.
If you want a successful business online, you must keep three things in mind: (1) your site must look professional; otherwise, customers get "turned-off" and go elsewhere (sites built using CityMax look clean, neat, and I can even upload my own artwork!), (2) your site must be easy to navigate (CityMax website builder makes it a breeze to build easy navigation), and (3) People want to quickly find the information they come to your site for in the first place.
When all is said and done, the real proof is with my customers. What do they think about my site? Well, I have sold thousands of dollars worth of products in the few months I have been with CityMax. They love the site and appreciate the smooth, professional, and secure shopping experience. I expect a lot of growth in the coming year with detail to marketing and site updates. CityMax made this possible.
I brag to our customers that our inservices makes their continuing education "fast, easy, and simple". That would not be possible unless CityMax made my business "fast, easy, and simple". CityMax should not be called a "website builder". It should be called a " business builder" instead. |
